I’d pretty much just stepped off the beach at Mount Martha (VIC), arrived home, barely had time to drag a comb through my hair (as you will notice) and was asked to comment on the issue of Jamie Briggs MP and his ‘improper behaviour’ towards a young female public servant at a Hong Kong bar last November as well as his subsequent sharing of her photograph with colleagues both before and after she made a confidential complaint, thus breaching her right to privacy (some lawyers argue this was even worse than the first breach).
If that wasn’t bad enough, Immigration Minister Peter Dutton was busted for sending a text message he’d intended for Briggs describing News Limited journalist and editor Samantha Maiden – who had given Briggs a caning in this Daily Tele piece – as a “mad fucking witch”, to Maiden herself. The things men say about us when they think we’re not listening…
The only good to come out of this mess is that, as a result of the complaint made by the female consular staffer in Hong Kong, perhaps more women will decide to complain and speak out against male entitlement and abuses of privilege and power.

Why am I not surprised lawyers for serial women-hating male predator James Brigg claim his sending photo of a female adult to his ‘male buddies (sic)’ was supposedly far more serious than Briggs’ insults directed at a woman because she is a woman not ‘one of his male bros!’
Briggs’ and Dutton’s public displays of pandemic women-hating aren’t ‘isolated incidents’ rather they are common and happen because men continue to enact their male pseudo sex right to hold women and girls in contempt/and or hatred. These boys’ actions aren’t ones of ‘abuse’ but rather are acts of male sex right which the boys know is supported, condoned, justified and excused by their Male Supremacist System. Men know they can openly sexually insult/sexually prey on women and girls with impunity because their Male Supremacist System protects them.
This is what it means for us women and girls living in mens’ centuries old Male Supremacist System and this is why men continue to claim they ‘had done nothing wrong’ because men will never willingly relinquish their male oppression over women and girls.
So we must name mens’ hatred and contempt for us women for what it is which isn’t abuse – but pandemic male violence/male hatred for us women because our sex is female!
