I’m honored to be launching the latest book by a woman who is (with Susan Hawthorne) not only my own publisher but who I count as one of my dearest friends. Dr. Renate Klein, author, researcher, biologist, social scientist, and feminist activist of 30 years. Renate – whose work was my first introduction to feminist bioethics – has authored the timely and vitally important Surrogacy: A Human Rights Violation disrupting the positive narrative on this growing global industry. She invited me to launch it in Canberra this Tuesday at Muse, EAST Hotel. Naturally I accepted.
Dark Matters: A novel, by Susan Hawthorne, will be launched the same evening, by Canberra artist Suzanne Bellamy

This is an issue that has truly struck a chord …. like lightening with me …. interested to know where and when …. if it is in Canberra …. I’d like to be in. Thanks for providing a courageous approach to many of these importance elements of Herstory. I’m a MOTRF – Middle of the Road Feminist in that I think we can have problems with patriarchy without blaming our blokes for it.
